Phelps Group is pleased to announce the hiring of Heather Connelly in the role of Principal.
Heather is one of Canada’s most respected leadership search executives. Known for her “high touch” style in her relationships with clients and candidates, she has spent much of her career dealing with the complex processes associated with change at the senior executive and board level and the transition strategies required.
She is a former Partner at Waterstone Human Capital, Kinley & Connelly, Heidrick & Struggles, The Caldwell Partners and KPMG. She has been assessing and evaluating leadership talent for over 25 years.
Heather is the former Chair of the Learning Partnership (a partnership between public education and business, nine years) and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Change Foundation (Ontario Hospital Association—eight years). Among her other community activities are the Governance Committees of Wellspring. She formerly sat on the Board of VON Ontario for eight years, the National Ballet School, and is currently a member of CorbinCares Foundation’s Board of Directors, and the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO).
Heather is a frequent speaker on Board Governance and Leadership Transition. She is a former Coach with the Not-for-Profit Executive Director Institute co-sponsored by York University and the Maytree Foundation.
A graduate of Dalhousie University in Education, Heather has lived and worked across Canada – Alberta, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. She has built a strong network of senior contacts across the country.
